Tirol Mountain Bike Safari Flexipass

This summer mountain bikers across Tirol will be happy to learn that several lift companies have joined forces to offer a new lift pass, which cen be used on the 17 mountain lift networks along the Tirol Mountain Bike Safari. It will be of great benefit to mountain bikers planning multi-day trips on the new Tirol Mountain Bike Safari route between Nauders and Walchsee. The new FlexiPass starts from 18 € for two mountain ascents, whilst the comprehensive pass costs 153 € for the all 17 ascents.

The pass is valid during the summer operating hours of the mountain lifts and a list of the exact opening times of the individual lifts can be found online at http://www.tyrol.com/bikesafari.

Mountain bikers can navigate almost the entire route of the Tirol Mountain Bike Safari on one lift ticket, which is valid for one mountain ascent in each area. For technical reasons, the only exception in 2014 is the Karwendel mountain lift in Pertisau, where mountain bikers will have to purchase a separate single trip on the cable car.

Crossing the Alps by mountain bike

Undertaking challenging altitude gains with steep climbs does not appeal to all mountain bikers, especially when they can see a mountain lift heading in the same direction! From summer 2014, the new "Tirol Mountain Bike Safari" covers a distance of 660km and 25,000 vertical metres from Nauders to Walchsee, with almost half of the climbs undertaken with the help of the mountain lifts. This will appeal especially to those who enjoy mountain bike tours. Even for hardcore riders there is enough altitude gain to be achieved using their own strength - the reward is a unique mountain bike experience in the heart of the Tirolean mountains.
