Assassination! Reinhard Heydrich died in Prague.

Reich Protector and Holocaust architect Reinhard Heydrich runs under sunny skies to work. As usual, sittings in an open convertible Mercedes and driver Johannes Klein carries him from his seat at the castle of Panenské Břežany to Prague Castle.
Neither of them Heydrich last ride. At 10:35 Mercedes brakes before cornering Kirchmayer Street (Zenklova Street, where it crosses the street V Holešovičkách.

Big event: The Assassination of Heydrich

October 1941: The Czechoslovak intelligence officer in London František Moravec to announce soldiers Karel Svoboda and Josef Gabčík to commit the assassination of an important person in the Protectorate of Böhmen und Mähren.

6th October 1941: Svoboda is injured during a training jump and is replaced Jan Kubiš. Intelligence determines that the purpose of assassination by Reinhard Heydrich.

28th December 1941: Three flies dropping one plane from England to Bohemia. Flight ten hours.

29th December 1941: Airdrop Anthropoid (Gabčík and Kubiš) is introduced instead of the planned whistled at Pilsen. It's snowing. In a few minutes to dawn. Gabčík are injured in the leg. Yet hidden parachutes and other equipment and be issued within one hundred miles away Pilsen to the contact address. They have clothes, but do not know situacei that during the German occupation radically deteriorated.

April 1942: Heydrich moved from Prague Castle to the Virgin Brezany.

12th May 1942: Domestic Czech Resistance sends an encrypted telegram to London with a request to appeal the assassination. They are afraid of enormous consequences for the Czech nation.

27th May 1942: The assassination of Heydrich! Protector is badly wounded. On that day the occupiers declare state of emergency.

4th June 1942: Heydrich dies in hospital Bulovka.

10th June 1942: Lidice village occupiers burn and kill all men.

18th June 1942: Troops of the SS and Gestapo agents with paratroopers fighting in the church of St. Cyril and Methodius in Prague. Seven-hour shoot-out ends in death of all seven paratroopers. They are shot in combat or commit suicide.

24th June 1942: Ležáky village is burning. Most people are killed on the spot, the rest will die in concentration camps. After the war, only two returned for re-education for children.

29th April 1947: Karel Čurda paratroopers and Viliam Gerik, who had blamed the disclosure of resistance fighters are executed after the war.
